TRUST announced four GReddy intercooler and aluminum-pipe packages for the GXPA16 Toyota GR Yaris on August 23. Each is listed for both pre- and post-facelift cars, with either the six-speed manual or the eight-speed automatic. Fitment on pre-facelift cars equipped with Toyota Safety Sense remains unconfirmed.
That compatibility spread is the notable part. The April 2024 update changed enough around the GR Yaris — including a jump from 272 PS to 304 PS and the arrival of the GR-DAT eight-speed automatic — that aftermarket support has often split along the facelift line.
What the larger intercooler is designed to do
The core is TRUST's TYPE42F offset inner-fin design, measuring 625 mm long by 141 mm high by 100 mm thick — roughly 1.2 times the volume of the factory core. Side tanks use 50 mm inlets and outlets with a buffed finish, and the kit ships with GReddy silicone hoses rated for heat, pressure and ozone resistance.
A larger core does not add power by itself. What it is meant to buy is stability of intake charge temperature during sustained hard use — the same power on lap five as on lap one — which is why intercooler upgrades are a common early step on small-displacement turbo engines like the 1.6-liter G16E-GTS three-cylinder.
TRUST offers two intercooler-kit configurations, plus two aluminum-pipe sets for owners who want to keep the factory intercooler and change only the piping:

The ¥68,750 pipe set costs about 40 percent as much as the base intercooler kit, making it the cheapest way into the range; the full pipe set is ¥96,800.
For readers outside Japan
The GR Yaris was never sold new in the United States — the GR Corolla is the American equivalent — so this is one of those parts announcements that underlines what the Japanese and European markets get. Under the US 25-year rule, counted from each car's individual build date, the earliest GR Yaris cars built from September 2020 do not become eligible until late 2045.
Whether these parts fit a GR Corolla's G16E-GTS is not addressed by TRUST's announcement. The engines share a designation, but packaging differs between the two cars, and nobody should assume fitment without confirmation.
