TEIN has added the BNR32 Nissan Skyline GT-R to its EnduraPro Plus damper range, covering cars built between August 1989 and December 1994. The four-damper set is priced in Japan at ¥64,900 including consumption tax.

The date needs a note. TEIN's own new-products archive lists the BNR32 application as released on August 26; Japanese automotive outlets reported it on September 10 and 11. The archive entry does not say whether that date marks the start of orders, retail availability or simply the listing of the application.

What it changes and what it keeps stock

EnduraPro Plus is built to bolt into a stock suspension. TEIN describes the dampers as "designed to use with the vehicle's original (OE) spring and upper mount," with the lower spring seat shaped identically to the factory unit. Paired with the factory springs, they retain the original spring rate and nominal ride height.

What changes is control. The Plus version adds 16-step damping adjustment, acting on compression and rebound together, and the dampers are compatible with TEIN's optional EDFC system, which replaces the manual adjuster with a motor and moves the adjustment to a controller in the cabin.

TEIN also fits its Hydraulic Bump Stopper. The company says the mechanism converts the impact of the stroke into heat and absorbs it, reducing the disturbance to the car's behavior and limiting stress on the damper, which it says contributes to durability. TEIN is explicit that conventional bump rubbers must still be used alongside H.B.S.-equipped dampers. The dampers carry a three-year or 60,000 km warranty.

Why a BNR32 listing matters now

BNR32s are now roughly 31 to 37 years old. Any surviving original dampers are likely to be well beyond their intended service life, and previously replaced units may themselves be due for inspection. For an owner who wants adjustable damping without swapping springs or moving the car's ride height, a current, warrantied application fills a specific maintenance-and-upgrade niche in the R32 GT-R parts market. TEIN has not confirmed export availability.
